TLSU launched Skills Enhancement Training for working professionals in the field of Engineering Maintenance
India’s first and premier skills university will train employees of Deepak Group at the company’s plant in Dahej, Gujarat.
- The programme carried out under TLSU’s Centre for Industry and Knowledge Partnerships (CIKP) is part of Deepak Group’s Kaushalya initiative for capacity building and upskilling of the company’s staff.
Vadodara (Gujarat) [India]: TeamLease Skills University (TLSU), India’s first and premier skills university recently launched a Skills Enhancement Training for the employees of Deepak Group in Dahej, Gujarat. The certificate programme focuses on concepts and applications in Maintenance, Industrial Safety, Quality Management, Industry Acts and specific domain skills related to Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation.
The onsite training programme will be conducted by TLSU’s Centre for Industry and Knowledge Partnerships (CIKP) in collaboration with the Department of Mechatronics.
Twenty-five candidates with industrial experience will be trained in the field of maintenance in the first batch.
The programme is part of Deepak Group’s ‘Kaushalya’ initiative as envisioned by the company’s CHRO, Mr Anil Dixit, for the capability building and upskilling of the company’s staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Avani Umatt, Provost, TLSU and Coordinator of CIKP, highlighted the importance of adult learning in the skills domain and the benefits of the bespoke model for industries.
Motivating the participants to make the most of the learning opportunity, Prof (Dr) Umatt said it will help the employees be at par with the global best practices in the industry.
The upskilling programme is being conducted under the leadership of Mr Mahesh Phadke, Senior General Manager (Human Resources) Talent and Dr Rajiv Kurulkar Senior Manager (Human Resources) of Deepak Group, to provide the company’s employees with a platform to enhance their skills in their respective domains.
During the inaugural session of the training, at the company’s plant in Dahej, Gujarat, site heads Mr Jitendra Modi and Mr Bhagirath Jadeja touched on the importance of such programmes not only for the employees but also for the organisation.
