Mananam, established on March 25, 2021, brings a unique approach to learning, unravelling the treasures of epics and puranas in English and Tamil. The courses cater to a diverse audience, from children to teens and occasionally adults driven by a thirst for knowledge. The initiative, aptly named Mananam, embodies the essence of understanding and sharing knowledge.

The core of Mananam lies in presenting the epics and Puranas precisely as they are, with authenticity. The courses, spanning from 1 hour, 90 min, 1 day , 7 day , 9,day , 28 days, provide a concise yet profound journey through revered texts like The Ramayana, The Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Vishnu Puranam, Varaha Puranam, Padma Puranam, and more. Notably, the classes are designed to be spiritual rather than religious, promoting inclusivity and embracing individuals irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.

The initiative took its stride with more than 45 batches, 1000 students and across 13 countries, delving into the intricacies of Ramayanam in both English and Tamil. In these batches, even foreigners and atheists attended. Since then, the journey has continued, fostering an environment where the essence of Indian mythology is passed on with love and dedication.

The platform, existing in the digital domain, caters to the nostalgia of those raised in joint families, who reminisce about listening to stories from epics and Puranas while catering to a new generation that may have missed out on these cultural narratives.

The driving force behind Mananam is the recognition that the current generation, often detached from the richness of India’s mythology, deserves to be brought into the fold as cherished family members. As parents from the 90s generation understand the significance of tradition, they seek to impart these values to their children. The emphasis is not on religious indoctrination but on cultural preservation and instilling moral values.

The founders of Mananam express, “We named our project Mananam as we sacredly read and understood our epics and puranas, strived hard to visit as many related places as possible, to make our delivery more accurate. We have spent long years sharpening our knowledge about our epics and Puranas by referring to various kinds of literature and interacting with scholars conducting deep research about these sacred texts.”

The courses, marked by a commitment to simplicity and authenticity, present the stories as they are, ensuring that the essence is not diluted based on the audience’s background. This approach and interactive sessions and QA forums create an engaging and lively learning atmosphere.

Mananam shows the importance of our cultural values. Mananam is like a guiding light in a world that changes quickly, leading us back to the things that make us who we are and influence our beliefs. It’s a way of honouring the timeless wisdom found in our ancient stories, going beyond time and tradition.
