Delhi, [India], November 11, 2024: Rabbitt AI, under the leadership of Chief AI Officer Harneet Singh, is proud to announce its pioneering efforts in revolutionising defence capabilities with advanced Generative AI (GenAI) to create solutions which can save lives of soldiers

Founded by Mr. Harneet Singh, an IIT Delhi alumnus and a serial tech entrepreneur, popularly known as “The Lion Founder” among the AI community, Rabbitt AI, a London and India based Gen AI solutions company recently raised 2.1 Million USD funding from TC Group and prominent investors from NVIDIA, Meta etc.,

Mr. Singh, who’s previously built multimillion dollar tech companies, is chosen among Top 100 AI Leaders in the world to Chair the Generative AI and LLM Council at World Summit AI in Amsterdam. He has served as an AI Consultant with the South Korean Navy for developing self learning Generative AI powered System For Mine Warfare.

Rabbitt AI is helping organisations “Own their AI”, turning companies into leaders of the AI revolution, much like the IT boom ushered in giants like TCS and Infosys.

Mitigating Risks for Personnel in High-Threat Environments with Rabbitt

A fundamental objective of employing GenAI in defense is to minimize the need for human deployment in high-risk areas, such as national borders, conflict zones, and critical infrastructure sites. Traditional approaches to border security often involve the continuous presence of personnel, exposing them to both physical and psychological threats.

With GenAI-enabled surveillance systems, Rabbitt AI envisions a future where soldiers are extricated from front-line duties and replaced by intelligent systems, such as drones, autonomous ground vehicles, or AI-powered cameras, capable of autonomously monitoring, detecting, and evaluating threats in real time.

Rabbitt’s Chief AI Officer and ex AI consultant to South Korean Navy, Mr. Harneet Singh mentioned

We are not very far from the future where AI with limbs can dominate the battlefields. One of the missions we are investing in is if we can save lives of soldiers at the Borders by developing Situationally Aware, Autonomous AI systems which can observe and analyse all forms of data coming from sensors as well as surveillance systems and take real time decisions for Response by understanding the OODA loop and other Military Decision Making frameworks.”

For instance, Rabbitt AI is actively deploying AI models that integrate deep learning algorithms with advanced sensor inputs, such as infrared and radar, for border surveillance. These models are specifically fine-tuned and trained with immense amounts of text, speech, audio, video, and signal data etc. to identify

  1. Abnormal Activities,
  2. Unauthorised Intrusions, and
  3. Environmental Anomalies

with minimal human intervention, enhancing both security coverage and response efficiency.

  • Persistent and Effective Monitoring: Such capabilities not only ensure the safety of military personnel but also provide persistent, unbiased monitoring—a critical component for national defense in an operational environment characterized by evolving threats
  • Reduction in costs and life and property loss: In addition to reducing personnel risks, this GenAI system can also significantly reduce the operational costs associated with border security in 2 ways
  1. The automation of surveillance tasks decreases the reliance on human labor,
  2. While the efficiency and accuracy of AI-driven threat detection minimize the need for costly corrective actions.
  • Human-Machine Teaming: Moreover, the integration of GenAI with unmanned systems, such as drones and automated ground vehicles, facilitates greater adaptability in challenging terrains where human deployment may be logistically infeasible or prohibitively expensive.

These AI-driven systems are capable of performing continuous environmental assessments, recognizing potential threats even in complex and cluttered environments, such as urban settings or mountainous regions. This enables real-time situational awareness, where command centers can receive comprehensive, up-to-date insights without the delays associated with human reporting.

By integrating advanced data fusion techniques, Rabbitt AI’s models can aggregate information from multiple sensor types—infrared, visual, seismic, and acoustic—enhancing the robustness and reliability of surveillance operations. The future of border security lies not only in the automation of detection but also in the anticipation of threats, a frontier that GenAI is uniquely positioned to advance.

Rabbitt AI’s Chief AI Officer, Mr. Harneet Singh, who’s an IIT Delhi alumnus and serial tech entrepreneur, has also got recognised by DRDO and Indian Military Diignitaries and got an Honorary Medal for these initiatives.

Shaping the Future of Defense

At Rabbitt AI, our mission extends beyond building AI models; we strive to redefine defense capabilities by initiating strategic partnerships with defense agencies, collaborating on pilot projects for AI-driven surveillance, and contributing to joint research initiatives aimed at enhancing military operational efficiency.

  • From enhancing personnel safety through advanced AI systems in hazardous environments to utilizing LLMs for decision support and operational efficacy, the possibilities are both immense and transformative.
  • Our vision is to establish a defense ecosystem where AI acts as a force multiplier, enhancing the capabilities of every soldier, commander, and strategist by increasing situational awareness, reducing decision-making time, and optimizing resource allocation.

As we look to the future, Rabbitt AI remains at the forefront of this transformation, developing AI-driven solutions that not only meet the immediate needs of today’s military but also anticipate the challenges of tomorrow’s battlespace. For more details, explore rabbitt.ai
